Technology and Information System
About course
As a primer subject, this course will introduce students to information systems and technology (IS/IT) and its uses at home and work. Various aspects of IS/IT encompassing hardware, software, network and communications will be introduced. Students will be equipped with basic skills in handling PC installation and productivity tools via practical work in the labs, which shall comprise a major part of the study. This class also conducts industry visits and talks as a part of work-based learning. Both industry visits and talks will expose students to a real working environment, get knowledge from the industry and increase engagement between university and industry. The student also needs tobriefly explore the requirements and job specifications for a career in IT.
PC Assemble
Learn and get knowledge from how to dissemble and assemble a PC with guidance and recognize all the pc parts. Experience from working with classmate in group and also need to have teamwork and coorporation with each other making sure everyone participate.

We had a industry visit to the UTM Digital, they give a talk and we have more clear our school database and the UTM Wifi. We also visit to their office and know what their job scoop of each group and have a diffenrent tasks need to do.

Having a talk via online and I now understand the significance of self-awareness and developing both hard and soft skills. Building a solid foundation in computer science, engaging with peers, and learning outside the classroom are key steps for career success. This reflection motivates me to step out of my comfort zone and embrace opportunities that enhance my professional and personal growth.
